Manchester United require a formation change

Everyone who follows the Premier League knows that Manchester United have a star-studded forward line. But how can manager David Moyes best utilise his stars? Well the answer may be very simple yet complicated.
Manchester United use a traditional 4-4-2 formation or a 4-4-1-1 with either Wayne Rooney, Shinji Kagawa or Danny Welbeck playing behind star striker Robin van Persie.
The current crop of wingers in the United squad are performing below par. Therefore, it may be time that Moyes change their playing style. United, in my view, should convert to a 4-2-3-1 formation like most other top clubs such as Chelsea and Real madrid
Van Persie is the lone forward in this formation where he is backed up by the abilities of Rooney, Kagawa and Welbeck. Each of the front four are very versatile and can play in any position up front.
Therefore, the likes of Rooney, Kagawa and Welbeck rampaging and continuously switching positions during games will not only confuse the opposing defenders but will also free up Van Persie from close marking. With Michael Carrick and new recruit Marouane Fellaini sitting in the defensive end of the midfield, the front four can rampage to get goals.
With the emergence of new talent Adnan Januzaj from the win against Crystal Palace, the Red Devils have plenty of backup for the attacking midfield position if any one of those aforementioned attackers get injured. The likes of Nani and Ashley Young can also play in the position, providing a little more width than the others.
If the Red Devils opt to use or give this idea a shot then expect them to get plenty of goals. It's easier said than done, but with the quality of the United players it is certainly not impossible.
