Manchester United are keen to wrap up deals for both Leighton Baines & Marouane Fellaini in the next few days
Baines: On his way to Old Trafford?
Manchester United are determined to complete the signings of Everton duo Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini in the next few days, according to the London Evening Standard.
It has been widely reported this morning that the Red Devils will complete a £23m deal for Fellaini, but David Moyes is also intent on signing the Toffees' left-back Baines.
United made a £12m bid for the England international in June, but were reportedly told that they would need to increase that offer by £6m in order to secure his services.
With the start of the 2013/14 Premier League campaign just around the corner, and the clock ticking before the transfer window closes, Moyes is expected to agree to his former club's demands.
The Premier League champions are not short of options at left-back - with Patrice Evra, Fabio and Alexander Buttner already at the club - but Baines' attacking qualities would add a new dimension to United's forward play.
The 28-year-old scored seven goals in all competitions from left-back last season, including a couple of superb free-kicks.
Baines and Fellaini were expected to join Moyes at Old Trafford after it was confirmed that the Scot would succeed Sir Alex Ferguson as Manchester United manager.
And after missing out on several transfer targets this summer, Moyes is now prepared to turn to two Premier League stars he knows better than most.
